AirAsia flys to Kaohsiung 3 times a week

AirAsia will add the Kuala Lumpur-Kaohsiung (Taiwan) route to its network from July 16, with three weekly direct flights.

"The new destination makes AirAsia the only airline to serve this unique direct route," the airline said in a statement Tuesday.

The new route will be operated by AirAsia Bhd with the flight code AK, and the aircraft type being the Airbus A320 with a capacity of 180.

"We have seen strong demand for travel between Malaysia and Taiwan.

"This new direct route into Kaohsiung will ease travel plans for the communities of southern Taiwan in connecting to Kuala Lumpur and beyond," AirAsia Bhd's Head of Commercial, Spencer Lee said in the statement .

In conjunction with the announcement, AirAsia is offering an all-in-fare from as low as RM88 between May 20-27.

The travel period for this promotional fare is July 16 to May 31,2016.
